Same five. Same twelve reps. Today the only thing that changes is how long you hold.
⏸️ SEVEN SECONDS AT THE TOP
Lift, then stay there and count slowly to seven. Small breaths throughout — never hold your breath. Seven is long enough that something will start to slip. Notice what goes first: Ribs flare open? Come down a little lower. Low back takes over? Your glutes have let go — squeeze again. Belly ridges up the middle? Back to five seconds, or to two feet. Whatever slips first is your weak link, mamas. That's genuinely worth knowing.
⚠️ WHY NOT JUST DO MORE REPS?
Because more reps past twelve mostly trains fatigue — and fatigue is exactly when form falls apart and doming sneaks in. Your core's real job isn't twelve quick reps. It's holding. Holding you upright at the kitchen counter. Holding a baby on your hip while you open a door. Holding your position through a whole school run. That's endurance, and endurance comes from holding, not from counting. Twelve reps is plenty. Seven seconds is the work.
Before every meal — open the app and do a breath session. Three 360 breaths. Thirty seconds. Before breakfast, before lunch, before dinner. Why meals? Because you eat whether or not you remember to breathe. The meal is already in your day — the breath just attaches to it. No alarm needed, no finding time. And it does something else. You arrive at your food having sat down and taken three slow breaths, instead of eating standing up and rushing. Better digestion, less bloating — and a bloated belly is what makes half of you message me worried your gap has got worse. Do it before you eat, not after. Deep breathing on a full stomach is uncomfortable. Reply tonight with how many you managed — 1, 2 or 3. 💛
📌 TODAY'S FOCUS
Thirty-two days, mamas. Two extra seconds. That's all today is. Nobody's impressed, and you won't feel transformed tonight. But think about what's actually happened. On Day 8 your heel barely moved before your back lifted off the floor. Today you hold a single-leg bridge for seven seconds with your ribs closed and your hips level. That isn't two extra seconds. That's a core doing something it couldn't attempt a month ago. And notice what I'm not doing — handing you more reps to make it feel like progress. Fifteen rushed reps would look like more work and do less. Your gap doesn't care how many you counted. It cares whether you held your position without losing it. Slow, unglamorous, repeated. The only thing that's ever worked. 💪💛
